Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "WOW! What a Ride!” I am a D.C. transplant and have been here for 11 years and love it very much. I have traveled to many countries for various reasons and now I want to see more of the America I never had time for. I want to try all the things I've always wanted to do, but put off for reasons of time or money. Most of my friends would say I have an easy-going personality, but I also tend to be on the dominant side. I am physically, emotionally (I have left my baggage at the station) and financially secure. I am a very independent person and not in search of someone to take care of me, so please don't let age stand in the way of what could be a great relationship. When I'm at home alone, I have a lot of personal projects that keep me occupied. I love learning something new every day. I am a lover of history, all kinds. I love live music, opera, the symphony and the ballet. I also enjoy the theater on occasion.
