Here are things I say about me: I'm somewhere between that and the last loser you went out with. You should get to know me and decide for yourself. That has to start with a meeting but I do not mind screening through a few emails and a phone call first. But we should plan to meet and see if we want to proceed. I appreciate most music, most sports, travel, entertaining, my family and friends. I'm writing a book, learning piano, running two fun and exciting businesses and living and learning. I played tournament tennis for years, sailed in regattas, worked on a shrimp boat, fished in billfish tournaments, painted an oil painting that I'm not ashamed to hang, flown in the backseat of fighter jets...blah...blah. The point is that I'm a wide-eyed exploring participant in life. My regular sport these days is golf but have a long 'to do' list that I attack monthly. It always grows. I probably will never live long enough to check them all off of my list but that's okay...I will never stop. I have a dry, quick wit including aimed at myself but it's all in fun. If you don't look for laughter and banter, you might want to try the next guy. He looks boring. Warned you. Want to explore our chemistry? The worst that could happen is we make a great new friend. Even though my Mom taught me to be a gentleman (it's that Carolina boy thing), I will tell you upfront that I am not perfect. I'm a guy...we are sometimes dumb as dirt. I make mistakes and will make them in a relationship but they will never be intentional. I learn from them and do my best not to repeat them. And making up can be fantastic! One of you 'wise' ladies (or maybe she is a natural 'smarta#*) told me I must define what I am looking for. Here is an attempt. I want you to come over, wash my car, massage my back, clean my house and then make me a sammich. That's one option. Another would be to get to know me, allow me to focus, without smothering, on you and keeping you wondering everyday what I might do to make you smile or feel lucky that we found each other. I might wake you with a kiss and coffee (actually would everyday), surprise you with flowers or a hidden card/note, scoop you away for a surprise trip, hold your hand, listen, sing badly to you, make you laugh, give you a massage and more to please you and spoil you. You will get my total loyalty, friendship and an attentive partner. Does that come with no strings? That answer is 'no' if you're wondering. I expect that same loyalty, appreciation for each other, communication and support to build a relationship that we will both be amazed that we found. It's a tied-at-the-soul partnership that most people never find. And make our friends jealous. That's just a bonus.
